Moroccan Parliament to Debate Fate of 7,500 Citizens Stranded Overseas

The President of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Youssef Gharbi, stated that the issue of Moroccans stranded abroad will be debated this Wednesday, April 15, 2020, in the House of Representatives.
During the oral question session on Monday, April 13, the Head of Government, Saâdeddine El Otmani, stated that 7,500 Moroccans are stranded abroad. He also specified that Morocco has taken measures to support these Moroccans, by providing them with housing, food and care during this health crisis period.
According to the Head of Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad has allocated a budget for this operation.
