Morocco Prepares to Repatriate Citizens Stranded Abroad, Awaits Health Ministry Approval

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad says it is ready to organize the repatriation of Moroccans stranded abroad, provided that the Ministry of Health gives the green light.
A source from the Foreign Affairs department confirmed that everything was ready for the immediate repatriation of Moroccans stranded abroad, pending assurances from the health authorities, reports Al Akhbar.
According to the same source, this repatriation operation requires coordination between several ministries, including Foreign Affairs, Interior, Health, Tourism, Transport, as well as Royal Air Maroc (RAM), the security services, the Royal Gendarmerie and maritime transport companies.
Similarly, the decision to repatriate Moroccans stranded abroad will have to take into account the conditions of their quarantine accommodation and their medical follow-up, in order to protect not only their families, but also the whole country, from a possible large-scale outbreak of contamination, it is specified.
