Moroccan Opposition Leader Claims Death Threats Amid Party Tensions

During a joint meeting between the Political Bureau and the Federal Bureau of the Party of Authenticity and Modernity (PAM), Hakim Benchamach, its Secretary General, hinted that he had received death threats in an audio recording of which he is the holder.
The political tensions within the Party of Authenticity and Modernity (PAM) continue to rage. This time, some party leaders have received death threats.
The Secretary General, Hakim Benchamach, confided to the members of the Political Bureau and the Federal Bureau of the PAM that he has in his possession an audio recording in which death threats have been made against him, as well as against the leaders close to the current he leads.
However, he questions the veracity of the audio, for the simple reason that its content is harmful to the party’s institutions. Worse, it targets his physical integrity and that of a leader who chairs a PAM body.
Already, Hakim Benchamach is taking the measure of the situation. To this end, it has been decided that the audio recording will be transmitted to the justice system for the opening of an investigation into the seriousness of these threats made by a person during a meeting in a hotel in Tangier, according to certain sources close to the PAM.
