Moroccan Olympic Hopefuls Flee Boxing Camp in Poland, Seek Asylum in Germany

The question is in the future tense only because their visas are still valid. They were in Poland for a boxing tournament and they opted for Germany illegally, not hesitating to leave everything behind. These are two Moroccan boxers who were counted on before for the upcoming Olympic Games. Their visas expire in a few days...
According to the newspaper Al Akhbar, Abdelaziz El Madini (under 56kg category) and Yassine Bendada (under 52kg), have just abandoned the national boxing team, in the training camp where it is located in Poland, in order to join Germany. The Moroccan embassies in Germany and Poland are currently looking for them as their visas will no longer be valid in a few days.
Several Moroccan athletes do not hesitate to try their luck in Europe or elsewhere, while they are traveling for sports competitions. A little over two weeks ago, for example, it was a Moroccan pétanque champion, Hicham Boulassal, who fled the hotel where he was staying as well as the national pétanque team, this time in Belgium. No news since.
However, it should be noted that the performance of the two Moroccan boxers had been deteriorating according to the same media. They did not show much enthusiasm during the training sessions, even though the selection had previously counted on them for a qualification for the next Olympics to be held in Tokyo in 2020.
