Moroccan Boxers Vanish During World Junior Championships in Poland

Two Moroccan boxers took advantage of their participation in a tournament in Poland to disappear without a trace. This is not the first time that athletes have distinguished themselves by this kind of behavior, discrediting the federation and all the boxers.
They had gone to Poland to participate in the junior world championships in the discipline. But boxers Reda El Bouyahyaoui and Iliass Belemlih saw an opportunity to offer themselves a life away from the realities they think they are living in in Morocco. According to the daily Assabah, it would be a "hrig" operation since the two boxers left the training center of the participating teams last Thursday, when they were supposed to fight the next day. Moroccan athletes often have the habit of disappearing into thin air when they find themselves in Europe to participate in sports competitions.
Before Reda El Bouyahyaoui and Iliass Belemlih, there had been Abdelaziz El Madini and Yassine Ben Dada. The procedure to be followed in this case is to inform the Moroccan consular representation, as well as the local authorities so that a search warrant can be issued. The Moroccan sports delegation hopes that the two boxers, who have a valid visa allowing them to travel on Polish territory and in the Schengen area, will come forward before the end of the tournament, so as not to tarnish the image of the federation and Morocco.
