Moroccan Boxing Federation Announces Olympic Medal Bonuses for Tokyo 2021

The Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation (FRMB) has made public the various actions it is taking towards boxers and boxers. It has set a budget for those who will be medal winners on the podium of the next Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games.
These financial incentives planned by the FRMB are quite significant and could motivate the boxers to give themselves even more. For the Gold Medal, 1,000,000 DH is planned, 600,000 DH for the Silver Medal and 300,000 DH for the Bronze Medal. These amounts are quite different from the bonuses of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Moroccan National Olympic Committee (CNOM) which remain at their discretion.
In addition, in order to encourage and value the performance of each qualified boxer and boxer for the Olympics, as well as the technical staff, the FRMB will decide on a bonus scale as a reward for each participant in the international preparation tournaments and competitions for Tokyo 2021, reports challenge.ma.
Still for the well-being and career management of boxers, the FRMB has decided to ensure for any boxer who decides to stop official competitions, training courses as a certified coach approved by the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA). The Federation cites the example of the boxer Zahra Zahraoui, multiple gold medalist, who is currently in training to coach the women’s team within the National Technical Directorate.
The FRMB took the opportunity to mention the bonuses recently awarded. The bronze medalist at the 2019 World Championships in Ulan-Ude, Russia, has received to date 200,000 DH from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports according to the pre-established scale and 100,000 DH from the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation. As for the qualification for the Tokyo Olympics, the FRMB bonus is 50,000 DH. 6 boxers and boxers received it in 2 installments of 25,000 DH. To this is added the bonus from the Olympic Committee which is planned after the qualification of all Moroccan athletes for the Tokyo Olympics, specifies the same source.
