Moroccan Olive Oil World Competition Quality Prize 2026
The International Olive Council has unveiled the results of its competition rewarding the best global production. With twelve participants engaged in this highly prestigious competition, the Moroccan sector confirms its strong desire to shine on the international stage.
One hundred twenty-two oils were evaluated during the 2026 edition of the Mario Solinas Quality Prize, organized for the northern hemisphere. Morocco distinguished itself with twelve samples in the running, positioning itself among the most represented nations behind Spain and Tunisia. This major event allows individual producers, associations, and processors to submit their creations. An international jury rigorously scored the olfactory and gustatory sensations of each extra virgin product on a scale of one hundred points.

Experts classified these oils into several categories, ranging from intense green fruity to ripe fruity. Participants all have the possibility to proceed with the removal of the seals from their deposit after evaluations. The final consecration of this ranking will take place on June 18, 2026. The winners of this edition will receive their awards directly at the institution’s headquarters, located in Madrid, Spain.
