Moroccan Nurses Strike Over Assault, Disrupting Vaccination Centers

As announced during the sit-in organized on Thursday, the strike of nurses and health technicians in Morocco took place on Friday, August 13 in several health centers.
This strike was organized by the Movement of Nurses and Health Technicians in Morocco (MITSM), in protest against the violent "assault" on a nurse and a student at the Higher Institute of Nursing and Health Techniques (ISPITS).
This blunder orchestrated by the authorities at the "Idmaj Anassi" vaccination center in Sidi Bernoussi in Casablanca, had repercussions on the smooth running of the medical service in several hospitals in these times of health crisis.
Recalling the facts, the Independent Union of Nurses "strongly condemns the barbaric attack on the nurse and the student" and calls for the immediate opening of an investigation by the competent authorities to do them justice and consideration for the entire corps of nurses and health technicians, mobilized without fail since the beginning of the pandemic.
To make themselves heard, these health professionals paralyzed Friday, all hospital services except emergency, delivery and intensive care services.
