Moroccan Nightlife Industry in Crisis: Owners Sell Businesses Amid COVID-19 Impact

These establishments are mainly located in Aïn Diab and Maârif. Some had started their activities in January and February. Given the current economic situation, the owners are offering selling prices that defy all competition.
The catering and accommodation sector is the first sector to be hit hard by covid-19, with nearly 90% of operators suspending their activities, according to a study carried out by the High Commission for Planning (HCP) on the assessment of the impact of the crisis on businesses.
Worse, the prospects are far from positive for the sector. Especially since restaurants and other nightlife venues will not be allowed to open their doors during the deconfinement period.
