Moroccan National Team Donates Match Bonuses to Earthquake Victims

Deeply touched by the September 8 earthquake that has mourned Morocco, the Atlas Lions express their solidarity with the victims.
"We share your pain and we are by your side. The players and technical staff of the National Team will donate all their match bonuses until the Africa Cup of Nations. Our hearts are with all the victims," announced Romain Saïss, captain and central defender of the Atlas Lions in an Instagram post. He added: "We assure you of future humanitarian initiatives. Our Morocco unites us."
The day after the disaster, national coach Walid Regragui and his protégés donated blood to the (CRTS) regional blood transfusion center in Agadir, in order to save lives. PSG star Achraf Hakimi had taken the opportunity to urge his compatriots in good health to do the same. "At the moment, the priority is to provide blood to those who are in critical condition. Blood donation is the responsibility of everyone to save as many lives as possible. Your help is essential," he had launched on social networks.
For its part, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has announced that the ticket revenue from the friendly match between Morocco and Burkina Faso will be donated to the Special Fund for managing the effects of the earthquake that shook the Al Haouz region on Friday night to Saturday.
