Moroccan Mother Sentenced to 10 Years for Throwing Children from Building in Casablanca

Ten years in prison for the mother who had thrown her 3 children from the fourth floor of a building in Sidi Bernoussi. The verdict was handed down on Monday by the Casablanca Court of Appeal.
At the end of a trial that lasted nearly 12 months, the young mother, who claimed to be a victim of an unhealthy environment, was found guilty of attempted voluntary manslaughter.
On December 13, 2019, a terrible tragedy had shaken the Anassi district of Casablanca. Following a family dispute, a woman had thrown her 3 children from the top of the building where she lived. Victims of serious injuries, the 3 brothers, aged 10 months, 6 and 8 years old, had survived.
To recall, the defense of the defendant had requested her release, due to her fragile mental health and her history of mental disorders. Her husband had moreover waived the complaint, following the recovery of their 3 children.
