Moroccan Military Responds to Ex-Conscript’s Claims, Clarifies Training and Medical Care
Following the statements of a former enrollee of the 36th contingent of compulsory military service, the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (EMG-FAR) reacted to provide clarifications.
According to a statement from the EMG-FAR, the citizen is well known to the military services, because he was part of the wave of conscripts of the 2019-2020 cycle, who underwent their basic common training at the Recruitment and Initial Training Center in Kasbah Tadla and their specialization in masonry at a unit of the Engineering Corps located in Médiouna.
While he claimed to suffer from back pain during his training, the person concerned was taken care of on several occasions at the Mohammed V Military Instruction Hospital in Rabat for in-depth medical examinations, the same source noted, noting that the results of these examinations revealed that it was a matter of sequelae of previous traumas prior to his admission to Military Service.
However, the EMG-FAR points out, an investigation has been initiated by the relevant services of the Royal Armed Forces to establish the whole truth about this case.
