Moroccan Midfielder Harit Shines in Marseille’s 4-1 Win Over Brest

After a period of decline in form, Moroccan international Amine Harit is regaining his colors. He put in a very good performance in the match that pitted Olympique de Marseille against Brest (4-1), scoring a goal and providing an assist.
While he was on the hot seat for not being able to find his bearings within the Phocaean club, Amine Harit took advantage of Dimitri Payet’s absence, due to injury, to show what he was capable of. Since he was loaned by Schalke 04, he has been very little used.
But with this goal scored against Brest, the 24-year-old player scores his first goal this season in Ligue 1. His performance was hailed by Internet users and the French press. At the end of the match, Amine Harit spoke about his performance.
"A good game for me. Every attacking player aspires to be decisive. It was difficult. Beyond football, it allowed me to discover other facets of myself. Mentally and in terms of work. I never gave up. The saying goes that hard work pays off, it really pays off after a while. I take what I have to take. I had my chance, I think I’m a player who needs playing time, to be on the pitch to express all my potential. Tonight, it’s a victory that does me good," he said.
Regarding his future, he remained vague without going into details. "My future? Honestly, I’m not in that. It’s my agent who manages it. Me, I’m on the pitch. It’s already difficult when you don’t play. Now I have playing time so it’s better for me to focus on the game. The discussions will inevitably come at the end of the season, so we’ll see at that time."
This performance could also play in his favor for a return to the national team, especially with the absence of players like Noussair Mazraoui and Hakim Ziyech who have refused to return to the selection.
