Moroccan Media Outlet Retracts Salafist Claims Against Soccer Star Aboukhlal

Mohammed Tijjini, founder of the media "Achkayne" who accused Moroccan international Zakaria Aboukhlal of promoting the Salafist rite in general and in particular among the players of the national team, apologized to the Lion of the Atlas, as well as to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
On his YouTube channel, Mohammed Tijjini, founder of the "Achkayne" website, apologized to player Zakaria Aboukhlal, as well as to the FRMF and its president Fouzi Lekjaa. He also made personal apologies to readers who had expressed "well-intentioned" criticism. According to him, the defamatory article was written in good faith "to share questions with readers".
Concluding his video, the boss of "Achkayne" once again apologized to Aboukhlal as well as to the head of the FRMF. All the stakeholders are Moroccans and between Moroccans, "we should have the courage to dialogue and discuss," tried to justify Mohammed Tijjini.
Reacting to the article on Zakaria Aboukhlal, the FRMF had announced its intention to take legal action. In a statement, it declared that it "will take legal action to protect the members of the national football team and refute all false allegations affecting their behavior or personal life in the exercise of their national duties".
