Moroccan Map Dispute Sparks Algerian Walkout at Arab Lawyers’ Conference

The Algerian delegate withdrew from the conference of the Arab organization of young lawyers taking place in Amman, Jordan, due to the publication of a map of Morocco including the Sahara.
The delegate of the Algerian young lawyers decided to withdraw from the conference in reaction to the publication by the Moroccan delegate of a map of Morocco including the Sahara.
The organizers of the meeting had previously apologized to the audience after the publication of a map of Morocco without the Sahara. After the Moroccan reaction, it had been corrected and the organizers had assured that it was a technical error and that the projected map had been downloaded from the Google search engine.
