Moroccan Man, 23, on Trial for Raping Two Women in France

The Criminal Court of Yvelines ordered a closed-door session on Wednesday, as part of the trial of a 23-year-old Moroccan man. He is accused of raping two women.

According to Le Parisien, at only 23 years old, this young man is a "sexual predator". The rapes he is accused of were committed in February and July 2018 in Choisy-le-Roi (Val-de-Marne) and Plaisir.

His victims, women aged 38 and 65, themselves ordered "the non-publicity of the proceedings", according to a source close to the case.

The last of a family of five children, Jawad, who was born in Morocco, had a peaceful childhood, according to the same source. This clothing salesman, who left his country in search of a better life in Europe, had divorced and would be the father of a 4-year-old child.

He committed several disturbing acts during his stay in Germany where, in particular, he tried to "attack a girl in the street before breaking a bottle on the skull of her boyfriend who came to her rescue," recalls the same media, adding that in France, his life of debauchery has hardly changed.

Indeed, homeless, he "sleeps in cellars or at acquaintances’ places", and uses drugs without being bothered.

"In Germany, there was a woman with whom I had sexual relations," he told the expert. "I also had needs in France, it was mandatory. When the desire is there, it is strong, it is mandatory to satisfy it," he adds.

The young man, whose trial verdict is expected this Friday, has never admitted his misdeeds, "despite his genetic fingerprints found on the victims". According to him, he has no memory of the facts because he was always under the influence of alcohol and drugs, he claims.

According to the psychiatric expert, Jawad is prone to "high psychopathic tendencies, alcohol and drug addictions, and sexual frustration that is difficult to bear". He would be "accessible to criminal sanctions".
