Moroccan Man Sentenced to 15 Years for Violent Rapes in France

Jawad, 23 years old, prosecuted for the rape of two women aged 37 and 64, in 2018, in Choisy-le-Roi (Val-de-Marne) and in Plaisir (Yvelines), has just been sentenced to 15 years of criminal imprisonment. This is the sentence handed down by the criminal court of Yvelines.

As she was going to get her bike from a friend around 7 a.m. on July 10, this 64-year-old woman crossed paths with Jawad, who was carrying a bag containing a sandwich and a bottle of water, reports Le Parisien.

That day, things went faster for the sexagenarian. Jawad grabbed her by the hair before dragging her into the woods, hitting her, tearing off her clothes before raping her, the same source reports.

He thought he was assured of impunity. However, the sandwich he had left at the scene of the rape betrayed him. The analyzes carried out on the sandwich indeed revealed that he had raped, on February 17 last, a 37-year-old Asian woman in Choisy-le-Roi.

Jawad will be arrested in Cap-d’Agde (Hérault). He has always stubbornly maintained that he was not the author of the rapes he was accused of, that he did not even remember committing these acts because he was, according to him, "always under the influence of alcohol and drugs".
