Moroccan Man Kills Sister and Her Boyfriend in Alleged Honor Crime

Furious that his sister had a romantic relationship with a young man, without it being formalized, a man committed the unthinkable, a crime, to wash, he said, the honor of the family.
The facts are reported by the newspaper, Ajourd’hui le Maroc, which explains that a young man, who had just been released from prison, killed his sister, as well as her boyfriend, with several knife blows. It was after learning that they were maintaining a romantic relationship without being married. This happened last week, in Oued Boumalka, a rural commune in the Khémisset region.
"Freshly out of prison, he learns that his sister is having a love affair with a young man from the region. Information that makes him furious," writes the newspaper, adding that he then decided to closely monitor them. Catching them by surprise, in a forest, he inflicts several fatal knife blows on both of them.
Having, of course, premeditated his act and also having several years of prison behind him, he denounced himself to the Royal Gendarmerie who placed him in custody.
Last Saturday, June 29, he was brought before the courts and his detention was decided by the judge pending his trial.
