Moroccan Student Sentenced to 30 Years for Murdering Classmate Who Rejected Proposal

A young man, a student at the Faculty of Legal and Economic Sciences in Meknes, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for the murder of a young woman, a student at the same faculty, who refused to marry him.
Prosecuted for premeditated voluntary manslaughter, the defendant had inflicted several fatal knife blows on the victim, then 21 years old, in September 2018, reports the Akhbarona website.
For refusing to accept his marriage proposal, the 23-year-old young man had intercepted the student as she was going to a conference at the faculty and inflicted fatal blows to her chest.
He had then tried to commit suicide by swallowing a toxic product. But his attempt failed. He had then been brought to justice, after being admitted to the emergency room of the Mohammed V Hospital.
