Moroccan Man Discovers 30-Year Infertility After Fathering Eight Children

While he is the father of eight children, three of whom have died, a fifty-year-old man living in a douar near Kelaâ des Sraghna, discovers, to his great surprise, his state of sterility after 30 years of marriage.
At the origin of this discovery, an embarrassing allegation from the fifty-year-old’s brother about one of his daughters, the youngest. Complaining about his child’s behavior to his brother, the latter revealed a secret to him: his children were not his.
Confused, he consulted a fertility specialist. The latter diagnosed him and confirmed that he has indeed been sterile for over three decades. Shocked by his wife’s infidelity, he decided to divorce.
This is when everything gets complicated for the fifty-year-old. His wife and children have expropriated him of his property. He also reported that he is the victim of harassment and physical violence from them. As a result, he finds himself unable to pay the divorce fees set at 40,000 dirhams.
Faced with this unsavory situation, he appealed to a human rights association in Kelaâ Sraghna for assistance.
