Moroccan Man Alleges Racist Attack by Nightclub Bouncers in Spain

A 23-year-old man of Moroccan origin, a cultural mediator living in La Coruña, in northwestern Spain, has filed a complaint, claiming to have been the victim of a racist attack by two bouncers.
According to the complainant, the incident occurred early Saturday morning as he was going to join a group of friends inside the establishment with another person. The bouncers refused entry, citing a maximum capacity reached, although other people were subsequently allowed to enter, reports la Opinion de Coruña.
The young man confronted the bouncers after being left outside without explanation. The situation then escalated when he started speaking in Arabic with a friend. According to him, the two bouncers became aggressive and took him to an elevator, grabbing him by the arms. There, he recounts being violently beaten and strangled, with one of the bouncers going so far as to say: "that’s it, he’s going to die."
After the assault, the Moroccan was left in the elevator, seriously injured and bloodied. Despite the presence of security personnel, no one intervened or came to his aid. He also claims to have been the victim of racist insults during the assault. He was later found by a friend who immediately called the police and emergency services. The young man was rushed to the University Hospital for "a nasal septum fracture".
The complainant claims that this is not the first time he has been denied entry to an establishment, going so far as to say that "it is the norm" in the city.
