Moroccan Landowners Protest Alleged Land Seizures, Appeal to King Mohammed VI

Landowners in the Ait Idir douar in Talsint, in the province of Figuig, are demonstrating against the plundering of their lands. They are calling for the intervention of the authorities at the highest level and that of King Mohammed VI for the recognition of their rights.
These landowners have demonstrated for months, unsuccessfully, before deciding to organize a sit-in every night at the entrance of the commune of Talsint, reports Al Jarida 24.
Gathered under a tent, they denounce "the plundering of their lands by foreigners and influential people", calling for the intervention of the authorities at various levels and the opening of a judicial investigation on the basis of the complaints they have previously filed.
The protesters indicate that they will continue their sit-in until they obtain satisfaction, stressing that they will use all legal means to assert their rights.
