Moroccan King’s Yacht in Spanish Waters Sparks Controversy in Ceuta

The presence of King Mohammed VI’s yacht off Ceuta is making headlines in the Spanish press and is causing real controversy within the political class. But what was the Moroccan sovereign doing in Spanish territorial waters?
For now, no one seems to have the answer, not even the delegate of the autonomous government of the enclave, Salvadora Mateos, who is unaware of this affair, according to her statements to the press.
For the local media, the spokeswoman for the Ceuta government’s response is unacceptable, because, they say, if the political leaders are not aware of the matter, who is supposed to be?
The website El Faro de Ceuta also reports that an analysis of the video content is underway to verify the authenticity of the video, the date of the recording and also the identity of the people on board. For the press, "it is indeed Mohammed VI that we see waving to the Moroccans who are filming him".
The king’s presence seems to have really ruffled the feathers of part of the Spanish press and the political class, particularly the far-right party, VOX. Moreover, a deputy wonders: "will the government act if it is confirmed that these images are from today?".
