King Mohammed VI is expected in Casablanca, after a stay in Paris where he had arrived on April 15th. This return to the country marks the end of a visit that was of a private nature.
During his stay in the French capital, the Moroccan sovereign came to visit his mother, Lalla Latifa, who is currently hospitalized.
The prolonged absence of the Moroccan sovereign in the Paris region was attributable to growing tensions between Morocco and France, which had led the king to favor other destinations, notably Gabon, the United Arab Emirates or Asia.
