Moroccan King Mourns Pioneering Filmmaker Mohamed Ismaïl, Honors Legacy in Cinema

Following the death of Moroccan filmmaker and filmmaker Mohamed Ismaïl, King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolence and compassion to the family of the deceased. A message in which he states that he learned with great sadness the news of the death of the filmmaker.
For the sovereign, the king is one of the pioneers of film production in Morocco, adding that the 7th art has just lost a versatile man, one of the figures who have contributed, through their creative works, to the promotion of film production and the influence of art and culture at the national and international levels.
On this painful occasion, the King of Morocco expresses to the members of the deceased’s family and, through them, to all his relatives and friends, his heartfelt condolences and sincere feelings of compassion. The King implores the Almighty to grant the family of the late Mohamed Ismaïl patience and comfort, to amply reward the deceased for his recognized national artistic contribution, and to welcome him in his paradise among the virtuous.
