Moroccan King Honors Late Singer Mahmoud El Idrissi, Pioneer of National Music

King Mohammed VI has expressed his condolences to the family of the late artist Mahmoud El Idrissi. It is through a message in which he highlighted the qualities of the deceased and his efforts to promote Moroccan culture.
The Moroccan Sovereign expressed to the members of the artist’s family and, through them, to all his loved ones, his friends, his admirers, as well as his great artistic family, his heartfelt condolences and sincere compassion following the passing of one of the pioneers of Moroccan song. Mohammed VI emphasized that Mahmoud El Idrissi contributed for decades to enriching the varied musical repertoire with an authentic discography imbued with a sincere love for his country.
The king implores the Almighty to grant the artist’s family patience and comfort, to amply reward the late for his great contribution to art and his homeland, and to welcome him in his paradise among the righteous.
