Moroccan King Congratulates Wydad Athletic Club on CAF Champions League Victory

The Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) received a congratulatory message from King Mohammed VI after winning, on Monday in Casablanca, the 2022 CAF Champions League Cup.
In his message reported by the MAP, the sovereign saluted the great feat achieved by the Casablanca club which, through this title, has consolidated its record of national and continental titles and has once again affirmed its spirit of challenge and its ability to assume the responsibility of representing Moroccan football in the best possible way.
The king also expressed his congratulations to all the components of the Wydad Club, players, coaches, managers, technical and medical staff and supporters, saying he is convinced that this well-deserved triumph could not have been achieved without the intense efforts deployed throughout this competition and the spirit of competitiveness and patriotism shown by the members of the Casablanca team.
Referring to the triumph of [RSB Berkane, who won the 2022 CAF Cup two weeks earlier in Nigeria], the king saluted the triumph of Moroccan football clubs at the continental level.
This triumph has filled the Moroccan public with joy, who aspire to more titles, which will undoubtedly give a strong impetus to the Casablanca club, as well as to the rest of the sports teams, in order to redouble their efforts and accompany the promising development that national football is experiencing on all levels, he concluded.
