Morocco’s U-17 Soccer Team Clinches First-Ever African Title, Earns Royal Praise

King Mohammed VI addressed a message to the national team, following Morocco’s victory at the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations organized on its soil.
The Sovereign expressed his "warmest congratulations for this well-deserved African title," adding his pride "for this first continental achievement of its kind."
"We highly appreciate the efforts made by all components of our young national team, budding players, coaches and technicians, as well as the executives and leaders of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, in order to win this major title." The King also noted the "brilliant journey" of the players, their "promising football talents and performances," their "strong spirit of competitiveness" and their "deep sense of patriotism."
This victory confirms "the prominent place that Moroccan football now occupies," says the king, showing himself "deeply convinced that this title will be a great source of motivation" for Moroccan youth, calling on them to "persevere and deploy more efforts for further performances and achievements."
