Moroccan Kickboxing Star Badr Hari Hints at Comeback Despite Retirement Talk

The Moroccan kickboxer, Badr Hari, who had announced after his defeat against Alistair Overeem last October that he was considering retiring, could make a comeback in the ring.
While he had indicated that he was thinking of quitting kickboxing, Badr Hari said this week in an Instagram video that the sport is the love of his life, after Allah and his children. "I wouldn’t even know how to write ’stop’," Badr Hari was quoted as saying by AD. A statement that does not surprise Robbie Timmers, Glory’s matchmaker. "In my eyes, he never left... There is still so much fire in him," he reacted.
And he added: "If he continues to do kickboxing, which I expect and hope, we’ll see what we can do. I never had the impression that he really wanted to stop. For me, it wouldn’t be a comeback either, but simply: Badr practicing kickboxing with pleasure."
One thing is certain, Badr Hari’s return would not hurt Glory, which is going through a bad patch with the knee injury of world champion Rico Verhoeven, and the 15-month suspension of Jamal Ben Saddik for doping, not to mention the case of Alistair Overeem who also tested positive for a banned substance after his victory over Badr Hari.
