Moroccan Kickboxer Jamal Ben Saddik Suspended 15 Months for Doping Violation

Glory has just suspended Jamal Ben Saddik for a period of 15 months for doping. The 32-year-old Moroccan kickboxer was the subject of an investigation for violation of anti-doping rules.
Jamal Ben Saddik had been suspended until further notice by Glory while he was threatening to retire if he didn’t fight by July. "If I don’t fight before July, I promise I’ll retire. I’m serious," he said on Instagram. The Moroccan kickboxer was the subject of an investigation for violation of Glory’s anti-doping rules.
At the end of the investigation, Glory has just suspended him for 15 months for doping. Benjamin Adegbuyi, his opponent he beat in August, reacted to the news of the suspension on social media. "Haters will always hate! Cheaters will always cheat!" he commented.
Ben Saddik’s suspension has disrupted the scheduling of fights in the heavyweight category of Glory, which has postponed its biggest event of the year, a fight between Rico Verhoeven and Antonio Plazibat at Collision 5, due to a knee injury to Verhoeven. The fight should take place after the summer.
Alistair Overeem is also awaiting the results of his B sample after testing positive for doping after his victory over Badr Hari. The latter declared that he was seriously considering ending his career after this defeat. Before Ben Saddik, Glory recently suspended Cihad Kepenek and Luis Tavares for doping.
