Moroccan Judges Donate Half Their Salaries to National COVID-19 Fund

The call launched by King Mohammed VI, for a national mobilization to effectively fight against the Coronavirus, has found a favorable echo among the judicial officials and judges of the Kingdom. They have decided to devote half of their salary to accompany the royal initiative.
This news was announced on Wednesday by the delegated president of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary.
According to a press release from the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, this contribution stems from the willingness of the judicial officials and judges of the various courts and judicial institutions of the Kingdom.
To justify their spirit of solidarity, the judicial officials and judges cite Article 40 of the Constitution, which stipulates the collective and solidarity assumption of the costs resulting from the various disasters. But they also affirm that they want to be in harmony with the vision of King Mohammed VI.
