Moroccan Jewish Restaurant Owner Fatally Stabbed After Refusing Job to Regular Patron

The Tangier police arrested a 36-year-old individual for a knife attack, resulting in the death of a Moroccan Jew.
The victim, a Moroccan citizen of Jewish faith, received several stab wounds and reportedly died on the way to the hospital, according to a statement from the DGSN, reported by the MAP, adding that he knew his aggressor since the latter regularly frequented his restaurant to receive free meals.
According to the sequence of events and the motive, as revealed by the initial elements of the investigation, it all started from a refusal to hire the defendant as a day laborer. This was followed by a heated altercation during which the victim was physically assaulted with a small knife.
The accused has been taken into custody for investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the exact circumstances of this case.
