Five individuals were arrested on Friday in El Hajeb for their alleged involvement in a case of assault and violence resulting in death, aggravated theft and failure to report a crime.
According to a press release from the National Security Directorate, a 69-year-old jeweler was the victim of a violent burglary. On November 14, 3 individuals had arrived at his home and left with a large haul, after beating him up.
With the help of his brother and sister, the victim’s second wife had hired two individuals to burgle the sexagenarian, the statement continues. However, the events took a bad turn, and, to cover up their crime, the 3 suspects had to report a burglary.
