Moroccan Islamist Group Activist Arrested on Corruption Charges

An activist of the Jamaat Al Adl wal Ihsane was arrested on Thursday, August 8, 2019. He is accused of a corruption case.
Denounced from the green number by a sergeant of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), an activist of Al Adl wal Ihsane had the surprise of his life on Thursday, August 8, at the office. This element of the FAR, Younes Taibi, stationed at the Armored Training Center in the city of Meknès, had no choice but to bring the case before the competent authorities, reports Barlamane.com.
Indeed, the activist, a technician within the temporary employment company Mera Miri, subcontractor of the Registration Center of the city of Meknès, demanded from the sergeant the sum of 200 dhs, in exchange for the conversion of his military driver’s license into a civilian one.
Falling under the law, the civil servant was placed in custody for the needs of the investigation, indicates the same source.
