Moroccan Judge Arrested for Corruption After Extorting Woman for Driver’s License

A judge caught in the act of corruption was arrested by the judicial police elements of Agadir. Through blackmail, the accused managed to extort the sum of 20,000 dirhams from a woman.
The accused was arrested while he was within the Court of First Instance of the city.
Indeed, the sum of 20,000 dirhams had just been handed over to him in his office by the victim. The latter is a woman who had her driver’s license revoked after being responsible for a traffic accident.
While she was eager to recover the precious document, this woman was subjected to blackmail by the judge in question.
After the agreement was reached, the victim chose to denounce the judge by filing a complaint, thanks to a toll-free number set up by the Ministry of Justice, which hoped to record "citizens’ complaints and claims about acts of corruption".
Having carefully planned their intervention, the judicial police elements of Agadir managed to catch the judge red-handed, as well as two of his accomplices, in his office, within the Court of First Instance of the city.
