Moroccan Human Rights Official Jailed in ’Hamza Mon BB’ Blackmail Scandal

At the origin of the complaints filed against the main defendants in the Hamza mon bb case, Mohamed El Moudimi, President of the Moroccan Human Rights Council, was placed in detention on Tuesday morning in the Oudayas prison in Marrakech.
Following the many complaints received by the public prosecutor’s office, the investigating judge at the court of first instance decided to prosecute the accused for the offenses of blackmail, threats and contempt of a public official.
El Moudimi’s name is closely linked to the Hamza mon bb affair, since he decided to denounce the two Batma sisters, accusing them of violating privacy through the dissemination of personal videos and images.
