Moroccan Human Rights Leader Jailed in ’Hamza Mon BB’ Blackmail Scandal

The Hamza Mon BB case sends the president of the national human rights center to prison. Mohammed Madimi, the one who revealed the "Hamza mon bb" affair, is sentenced to 22 months in prison with a fine of 3,000 dirhams for fraud, blackmail and defamation.
The hearing at which Mohammed Madimi was convicted began on Wednesday at the court of first instance in Marrakech and ended at dawn on Thursday. For 12 hours, the defense lawyer was unable to do anything against the many charges brought against the president of the National Center for Human Rights: fraud, attempted fraud, defamation, blackmail and humiliation of officials in the exercise of their duties, reports le360.
Mohammed Madimi goes from his position as plaintiff to that of guilty. The facts he is accused of are not directly related to the "Hamza mon bebe" case but are punishable by law and the sanctions are governed by the second paragraph of Article 447 of the Penal Code. A few months ago, when Mohammed Madimi was arrested, Dounia Batma did not hide her satisfaction.
On her Instagram account, the singer wrote: "We will continue to pray to God that he will avenge us. Hamdoulilah". The man had filed several complaints against people, including the Batma sisters, whom he accuses of trying to tarnish the image of members of the association, specifies the same source.
