A new demonstration against a real estate scam on the streets of Casablanca. Dozens of people expressed their discontent in front of the headquarters of the real estate company "Bassatine Bouskoura".
During a demonstration on Thursday, dozens of people chanted slogans of protest against the scam and the dispossession of their property, reports the site « Al Oâmk », adding that unscrupulous real estate developers are still operating despite the measures taken in the sector.
According to the demonstrators, this real estate scandal dates back to 2017. Since then, they point out, the real estate company "Bassatine Bouskoura" is unable to hand over the keys to their house, despite the payment.
Waving flags and banners, these demonstrators from different regions including MREs, have sounded the alarm on the scam, calling on the authorities to quickly regularize their situation.
Expressing his concern, one of the demonstrators confides to the site that "he came to protest against the delay in the delivery of the apartments, stressing that "the project managers were engaged in price speculation on the apartments by forcing customers to declare to the Tax Department amounts not in line with the actual price".
Many complaints have been filed with the courts and the security services but without result so far.
