Moroccan Hiker Found Dead After Group’s Mountain Trek Goes Awry

Leaving last Sunday for a hike in the Telokit mountains of Azilal, a group of friends did not know that they would lose track of one of their own. Getting lost on the beaten paths of the winding mountains, the young man, originally from Fez, could not find his way back.

After unsuccessful searches, the hikers called the Royal Gendarmerie, who found the lifeless body of their companion the next day, Monday, lying at the bottom of a precipice.

An investigation has been opened by the services of the royal gendarmerie to shed light on this mysterious disappearance, although the probability of a fall seems more plausible to the investigators.
