McDonald’s Morocco Surprises Spanish Tourist with Unique Menu and Lower Prices

Irene, a young Spanish woman, shared on social media her travel experience in Morocco where she had a meal at McDonald’s, surprised by the significant differences in menu and prices compared to the American chain in Spain.
Irene and her husband Moha Sandali noticed significant differences in McDonald’s menu in Morocco. To attract more customers, the franchise has adapted its menus to local demand and lowered its prices. The two visitors were impressed by the size and unique taste of the double Big Mac, one of the restaurant’s most requested burgers. This hamburger is not available on the McDonald’s menu in Spain.
"It’s crazy," Irene exclaimed in her video, adding that McDonald’s fries and sauces in Morocco have been adapted to local tastes and have "completely different flavors." The curry sauce "is one of the best sauces in the world," Irene confided, specifying that she was won over by its spicy and hot taste, "similar to Indian food." The Spanish tourist also enjoyed cheese and chili croquettes, and tasted a variety of drinks including milkshakes and cocktails.
Irene and her husband were also pleasantly surprised by the prices at McDonald’s Morocco. The total of their consumption amounted to 419 dirhams (about 42 euros). "Compared to Spain, I think it’s cheaper," Irene said. She concluded: "There are many new items on the menu. They have a lot of interesting things here that are different from what we’re used to."
