Moroccan Groups Voice Support for Palestinians Amid Israel-Hamas Conflict

Several Moroccan associations and political parties have expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people after the recent Hamas attack on Israel and the escalation of tensions that followed.
For the Justice and Charity Association (Al Adl wal Ihsan), the Palestinian attack is an "unprecedented historic victory" over the Israeli army considered "invincible". "This epic constitutes a decisive turning point in the realization of the offensive of resistance", indicated the Association in a press release, adding that the resistance is the "only option for the liberation" of Palestine and the holy sites. Al Adl Wal Ihsan also reiterated its calls to "renounce" the normalization of Morocco’s relations with Israel which it sees as "a betrayal of the Palestinian cause".
For its part, the Party of Justice and Development (PJD) declared that "this heroic operation carried out by the Palestinian resistance is a natural and legitimate reaction to the daily violations practiced by the Zionist enemy through the racist and extremist policy of the government" of Tel-Aviv. In the same vein, the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS) considers that this Palestinian resistance is a "legitimate act" of the Palestinian people in the face of violations of their rights by the Zionist entity and the indifference of the international community.
For their part, the Federation of Democratic Left (FGD) and the Unified Socialist Party (PSU) expressed their "total support" for this "heroic" battle of Hamas which "took the Zionist enemy and international public opinion by surprise". Nabila Mounib’s party took the opportunity to call for "renouncing the normalization process" with Israel and "canceling all resulting agreements". On Friday, the National Action Group for Palestine also organized a sit-in in front of the Moroccan Parliament headquarters in Rabat in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
