Israel Approves Morocco's Humanitarian Aid Delivery to Gaza Amid Crisis

Israel gives Morocco the green light to send humanitarian and medical aid to the population of Gaza and the Palestinian people. Since the surprise and spectacular attack by Hamas and the retaliation of the Hebrew state, calls and negotiations to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, under Israeli blockade, via Egypt are multiplying.

Morocco will send humanitarian and medical aid to the population of Gaza and the Palestinian people. Hassan Kaiba, spokesman for the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in an exclusive statement to Hespress that Israel was ready to allow Morocco to do so and that this aid would be intended for Palestinians and not for the Hamas movement, which launched the "Al-Aqsa Deluge" operation on October 7, a surprise attack on several fronts including a barrage of rocket fire and infiltrations into Israeli territory by land, sea and air.

"The State of Israel is at war with the Hamas movement, which does not represent the Palestinian people, as recognized by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Abou Mazen himself," he said, assuring that Israel is doing everything in its power to prevent any harm to civilians and non-combatants in the Gaza Strip. "The inhabitants of the Gaza Strip are not enemies of Israel, the only enemy is the Hamas movement, entrenched in residential communities, humanitarian institutions and places of worship in the Gaza Strip," added Hassan Kaiba.

The spokesman for Israeli diplomacy also called on the Moroccan people to condemn "the terrorist and heinous acts of the Hamas movement". "The Moroccan people must condemn the terrorist and heinous acts of the Hamas movement, as well as the murders it committed on Saturday, October 7, in which nearly 1,400 Israeli civilians and civilians were killed, more than three thousand wounded and about 250 hostages kidnapped. [...] Morocco and the Moroccan people must condemn this terrorist movement that speaks in the name of Islam and has neither faith nor law," he insisted.

The acts of Hamas perpetrated against Israeli civilians, "including kidnappings, murders and rapes, have nothing to do with Islam, and Moroccans must then know the truth about this extremist terrorist movement that adopts the ideology of the Islamic State," Hassan Kaiba continued. Since the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas, Moroccans have been showing their support for Palestine. There is "a big difference between supporting and approving the Palestinian cause and supporting the Hamas movement," he nuanced.
