Moroccan Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou Signs 2-Year Extension with Girona FC

Moroccan international Yassine Bounou has just extended his contract with the Girona team until 2021.
At 27 years old, the goalkeeper has played 17 of his club’s last 19 matches, demonstrating the trust placed in him by the team’s coach Eusebio Sacristán.
Yassine Bounou had joined the club in 2016 after a 4-year contract with Atlético de Madrid following a loan from Real Zaragoza.
Born in Quebec and also holding Canadian nationality, he made his professional debut with the Wydad Casablanca team before flying to Spain in 2012.
Nicknamed "Bono", he has already been the starting goalkeeper 14 times for the Atlas Lions and played the last qualifying matches for the Africa Cup of Nations.
