Moroccan Gendarmerie Arrests Alleged Ringleader of Car Theft Gang in Temara

A man in his forties known for his multiple criminal records in cases of theft has been arrested by elements of the Royal Gendarmerie, from the territorial center in Temara Plage. He would be the mastermind of the gang of thieves of valuables from vehicles.
The mastermind of the gang of thieves of valuables from vehicles has been neutralized. It took the mobilization of a commando of the Royal Gendarmerie, led by the squadron chief and elements of the territorial center in Temara Plage to succeed in the arrest of the suspect in his favorite haunts adjacent to villas and luxury residences, particularly those without surveillance cameras and private security guards, following complaints from victims whose cars have been vandalized and broken into in order to steal and attempt to steal. The arrest took place last Sunday around half past three in the morning, reports the daily Al Akhbar. The law enforcement officers surrounded him near a housing estate in Sidi El Abed in Harhoura, where he was about to steal one of the cars parked on the public street.
After his arrest, the suspect was placed in custody for investigation, before being presented to the King’s Attorney General on Wednesday. During his hearing at the judicial center of the Temara squadron, he admitted to the judicial police elements of the security zone in Temara to have committed two thefts in the Al Wifak district in the center of the city of Temara. It is not excluded that the ongoing investigation will reveal other potential crimes he has committed in the territory of the prefecture of Skhirat Temara.
After leaving prison five months ago, this 41-year-old man has resumed car burglary by breaking windows and stealing what is inside. He committed four thefts in Harhoura and two thefts in the Al Wifak district in Temara, adjacent to the commune of Harhoura. His modus operandi consists of moving easily between neighborhoods and planning all operations in advance before executing them at night, using masks and gloves to hide his face and identity, as well as scissors and keys. During his arrest, the suspect was in possession of these same objects.
