Moroccan Footballer Tissoudali Banned from Driving, Fined for Phone Use Behind Wheel

It has certainly been a black week for Tarik Tissoudali. After incurring the wrath of his club, La Gantoise, for scathing criticism following the defeat against Standard, the 30-year-old striker was sentenced on Friday by the Dendermonde police court.
The verdict: 21 days driving ban and a 400 euro fine for using a mobile phone while driving.
It was in Wetteren that the police intercepted Tissoudali, caught in the act of using his phone while driving. Another infringement of the law for the Moroccan footballer, who was already on his fourth repeat offense. Absent during his trial, he was convicted by default.
This conviction comes at the worst possible time for Tissoudali, already in turmoil with his club. His criticism of La Gantoise’s policy after the defeat against Standard was not to the liking of his management, who are even considering disciplinary action.
