Moroccan Football Legend Mehdi Mellouk Dies at 69, Remembered for 1970 African Cup Victory

Morocco has just lost one of its former football glories. Mehdi Mellouk, one of the heroes of the 1970 African Cup of Nations triumph, has died at the age of 69.
Former player of Ittihad and Raja of Casablanca, the deceased played as a defender and midfielder. He had appeared 34 times in the national team colors.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has presented its condolences to the members of the deceased’s family as well as to the family of national football.
