Former Moroccan Soccer Star Abderrahim Ouakili Dies at 53

The Moroccan football world is in mourning following the announcement of the death of Abderrahim Ouakili, former international player, which occurred on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the age of 53.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) expressed its condolences to the family and loved ones of the former Moroccan international, expressing the loss of an emblematic figure of national football.
Abderrahim Ouakili had distinguished himself in the 1990s as a player for the Moroccan national team. His career had been marked by participations in the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France and the 1998 Africa Cup of Nations in Burkina Faso.
In addition to his international career, Ouakili had also shone at the club level. Before venturing into the German championship, he had played for FUS Rabat.
