Former Morocco Captain Benatia Denies Joining National Team Staff

The rumor that the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) had offered Medhi Benatia to join the technical staff of the Atlas Lions is false, says the former international.
The former captain of the Atlas Lions denies having been appointed as Vahid Halilhodzic’s assistant. "I would like to inform you that I have not received any proposal from the federation to join or supervise the national team. I am to this day, like many of my compatriots, a fervent supporter of the Mountakhab," he wrote.
The former captain of the Moroccan national football team hung up his cleats on December 9, 2021 after making thousands of supporters dream for about fifteen years. The acquisition of a Moroccan club and the creation of a football academy are among the goals he has set for himself.
