Moroccan Football Clubs Face Hefty Fines After Throne Cup Incidents

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has made public the financial sanctions taken following the semi-finals and the final of the Throne Cup. And they are very severe.
Raja Casablanca is fined more than 100,000 DH. The other teams were not spared, with Wydad Casablanca and RS Berkane receiving fines of 55,000 DH and 54,000 DH respectively. As for FUS, a fine of 2,000 DH was imposed on it.
Raja saw its actions in the semi-finals and finals cost dearly with a fine of 75,000 DH for the use of flares and 20,000 DH for the "misconduct of the public". An additional 5,000 DH were imposed for throwing bottles on the field. The club will also be deprived of Marouane Hadhoudi for the next match and will have to pay an additional 2,000 DH for the accumulation of 7 yellow cards. For its part, Wydad must pay 50,000 DH for interrupting the match with flares and 5,000 DH for throwing projectiles on the field.
RS Berkane was also sanctioned with 50,000 DH for the use of flares by its supporters and 4,000 DH for 7 accumulated cards during the semi-finals and the final. In addition, former FUS player Marouane Loudani, who signed with the Qatari club Umm-Salal, was suspended for two matches and will have to pay a fine of 1,000 DH for "immoral behavior towards an opponent".
