Moroccan Football Club Resumes Training After Salary Dispute Resolved

Normal service has resumed at the Mouloudia d’Oujda football club. The players who were boycotting training sessions due to non-payment of salaries have decided to end their movement.
A few days ago, the Mouloudia d’Oujda players started a strike, the second this season, to protest against the non-payment of their salaries. They have finally suspended their strike after receiving two months’ salary and some match bonuses. Remains to be seen how long this regained peace will last as the club is going through difficult times and will not be able to maintain its commitments to the players, reports Le Matin.
A third strike is looming on the horizon if the management does not find a quick solution to the difficulties that prevent it from meeting fixed costs such as the payment of players’ and coaching staff salaries. Currently, the club is 14th in the standings with 13 points. Following the payment of the two months’ salary and match bonuses, they have resumed training for the match that will oppose them this Thursday to Chabab de Mohammedia, at the Al Bachir stadium at 5 pm.
